1. Using Folio PDF
This User Agreement covers your use of the Folio PDF website and its document tools. Please read it together with our Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; it is not a request for consent to advertising or other optional processing.
By using the service, you agree to this User Agreement and the Terms of Service, subject to applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. Only use the service if you can legally accept these terms, or with the permission of a parent or guardian where required.
2. Your files and your rights
You retain the rights you already hold in your documents, images, text, and other materials. Folio PDF does not claim ownership of files you select or generate. Selecting a file enables the browser to read it for the task you request.
You are responsible for having the permission or other lawful authority needed to process the files and for respecting the rights and privacy of other people. Use password removal or document unlocking tools only for files you are authorized to access.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the tools for personal, educational, or business document tasks, provided that your use is lawful. Do not use the website to:
- Process, create, or distribute material that infringes another person’s rights or breaks applicable law.
- Access someone else’s documents or remove protections without authorization.
- Interfere with the website, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls, or overload the service.
- Misrepresent a document, signature, or identity in a way that deceives or harms another person.
These rules for the hosted website do not take away rights granted by the open-source licenses applicable to the software.
4. Check your results
Keep an original copy before merging, splitting, compressing, editing, signing, or converting a document. Review page order, image quality, text, annotations, form fields, and other important details in the finished file.
Changing a PDF may affect its existing digital signatures or interactive features. A signature added with a drawing tool does not itself verify a signer’s identity. Check the requirements of the person or organization receiving your document.
5. Save files before leaving
After successful processing, the website requests an automatic download and provides a “Your downloads” area so you can download the result again. Your browser may ask you to choose a location or may save files in its Downloads folder.
Generated download links are temporary and are not a cloud backup. They remain available in the page session until you clear results, reload, or leave the page. Clearing results removes those links; it does not delete copies already saved on your device.
