1. The service

Folio PDF provides online tools to merge, split, compress, convert, organize, edit, and sign PDF documents and related file types. The tools run in your browser. No Folio PDF account or paid subscription is currently required to use these tools.

These Terms of Service apply together with the User Agreement. The Privacy Policy separately explains information handling. Your use of the website does not give permission for optional advertising or analytics tracking.

2. Availability and technical limits

We may update, replace, restrict, or discontinue tools or website features. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, infrastructure problems, or other interruptions. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular processing time, or support for every file.

File size, document complexity, available device memory, browser compatibility, and network access needed to load processing components can affect a task. Very large or damaged files may fail. A desktop device may be more suitable for detailed editing or large documents.

3. Outputs and document review

Outputs can differ from originals. Compression may affect image quality, conversions may change formatting, and editing may change form fields, annotations, bookmarks, or existing digital signatures.

You are responsible for keeping backup copies and checking that the result meets your needs before using or sharing it. Folio PDF does not verify the truth, accuracy, authenticity, legal effect, or suitability of a document. Do not rely on a processed file as the sole copy of an important record.

4. Downloads and storage

Automatic downloads are subject to your browser’s settings. If an automatic download is missed or blocked, use the visible download link on the page.

The website is not a cloud storage or document recovery service. Temporary results are held for the page session and can be lost when you clear results, reload, or leave. Copies you download are stored under your own browser, device, or storage-provider settings.

5. Open-source software

Folio PDF is an independently designed deployment based on BentoPDF. This version is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0). See License & credits for notices and the corresponding source code.

Third-party software may have its own licenses. If a website term conflicts with rights granted by an applicable open-source license, that license governs those software rights. These service terms do not replace the software licenses.

6. Advertising and third-party services

Folio PDF does not currently display advertisements or run live advertising campaigns.

Links to external websites and third-party resources are provided for convenience. Their operators control their own services, content, and terms. Folio PDF is not the official BentoPDF service and is not responsible for support decisions made by the upstream project.

7. Warranty and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be error-free, continuously available, or suitable for a particular purpose. The software licenses also describe their applicable warranty terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Folio PDF is not responsible for losses caused by an unavailable service, incompatible or corrupted files, reliance on unchecked output, or failure to retain and save your own copies.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights, statutory guarantees, or other protections that apply to you.

8. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the website changes and will display the updated date on this page. Any future paid offering would need to state its price and applicable terms before purchase; this page does not create a subscription or payment obligation.

For questions about the service or these terms, contact [email protected]. Include the tool name, browser, and steps that caused a problem. Use non-sensitive sample files when describing a document issue.
