1. Documents and generated files
The PDF tools process selected documents on your device, in your browser. The application does not send your selected document contents to a PDF processing server or keep a server-side document library.
Files, passwords entered for document tools, and processing results are used locally for the requested task. Generated download links are held in page memory, not stored as a cloud backup. Save your results before clearing them, refreshing, or leaving the page.
Downloaded files remain wherever your browser saves them. You control those copies and must delete them yourself if you no longer need them. Other software on your device, browser extensions, operating-system backups, or cloud-synced folders operate separately from Folio PDF.
2. Information sent when the website loads
Local document processing still requires your browser to load the website, fonts, processing code, and other resources. Some processing components are downloaded from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs), including on first use of a tool.
Hosting and CDN services receive normal connection information such as your IP address, requested resource addresses, browser headers, and request times. This information is used to deliver resources, operate the website, and protect infrastructure. The document tools do not attach your selected file contents to these resource requests.
Infrastructure providers may process connection information in countries other than your own and apply their own retention and security practices. A document being processed locally does not mean that no network requests occur.
3. Browser storage and caching
The tools may save interface preferences, keyboard settings, saved workflow templates, custom dictionary entries, or processing-component settings in local browser storage. Font-related features may also cache font data in the browser. Application resources may be cached to improve subsequent loading.
This data can remain after you close a tab. Use your browser’s site-data and cache settings to remove it. Removing site data may reset preferences and require resources to be downloaded again. It does not delete files already saved in your Downloads folder.
Folio PDF does not add advertising or analytics cookies in this version. Hosting-platform session or security mechanisms may operate independently of the document tools.
4. Advertising and analytics
Folio PDF currently displays no advertisements and does not load an advertising network or analytics script.
If live advertising, analytics, or other optional tracking is introduced, this policy will need to identify the actual providers, purposes, information involved, and available choices. Any consent or other controls required for that setup must be available before the relevant optional tracking runs.
5. Retention and sharing
Folio PDF has no server-side copies of the documents selected for its browser tools to retrieve, share, or erase. Temporary results are retained in page memory for the current session; downloaded copies and saved browser preferences follow the controls described above.
Hosting and CDN connection records are separate from local document processing and may be retained under the providers’ operational, security, and legal requirements. We do not state a fixed retention period for those records that we have not verified.
The current application does not add a document-content sale, document-content advertising, or behavioral advertising feature.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You can choose not to select a file, close the page to end a task, clear generated results, remove site data, or delete downloaded copies from your device. On shared devices, also check saved files and browser history.
Depending on your location and the information involved, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or obtain a copy of personal information. Contact [email protected] to raise a privacy enquiry. There is no server-side document archive for us to restore or delete.
Where applicable, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. Nothing in this policy limits privacy rights available under applicable law.
7. Children and security
The service is a general-purpose document toolkit and is not directed at children. A parent or guardian with a privacy concern can contact us using the address below.
No website or device can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your browser and device updated and avoid processing sensitive documents on devices or browsers you do not trust. Do not send private documents to public issue trackers.
8. Contact and updates
